In order to get started using Dental Media, You need to set up the integration between Dental Media and Almasoft.
This is importnat to ensure that Dental Medias systems gets the data it needs to run the services you have subscribed to and enable Dental Medias Software to function optimally.
The actions described in this document all need to be executed on the server hosting the
Almasoft database.
Important note: If you are a returning customer, your license may already include this module. You can check if
this is the case, by opening Almasoft and going to Systeminställninger > Integratörer, and
checking if the "Tillåt integration med Dental Media" box is checked.
If that is the case, you can skip steps 1 and 2
Step 1: Order Dental Media module from Almasoft:
For the Dental Media software to be able to connect to the datapoint in Almasoft, an integration
module will need to be added to your license.
This module incurs no additional costs. You can
contact Almasoft and ask to have it added, by reaching out to them,
either via e-mail at
support@almasoft.se or by phone at +46 46 23 81 80.
They will then supply you with a new
license module, which includes Dental Media.
Step 2: Install the Almasoft Dental Media license:
Save the “moduler.almamoduler” file you received from Almasoft onto your desktop.
Then run
your “Alma Verktyg”, and go to the “Licenser” tab.
Here you need to click “Läs in licensfil”, and
then browse to your desktop and load the “moduler.almamoduler” file.

installing the Almasoft license, please contact Almasoft support directly at +46 46 23 81 80.
Step 3: Download the Dental Media software onto the server:
Go to https://api.dentalmedia.dk/dm261.zip A .zip file will be downloaded onto your local hard
drive.
Step 4: Install the Dental Media software on the server:
Unzip the file to your local drive and run the .msi file. Choose “Custom” as your installation type.
After this step you will be prompted to enter the install key provided by Dental Media in your onboarding material.
Note: If you have not been provided with an install key or you have lost it, please contact Dental Media support at support@dentalmedia.io or call (+45) 77 34 77 35 and click 4 to get to the support desk. Then Dental Media will supply you with an install key immediately
Step 5: Activate the Dental Media integration in Almasoft:
Log into Almasoft on the server, and access Systeminställninger > Integratörer, and check the
box next to
"Tillåt integration med Dental Media". Click the “OK” button to save your settings.
Step 6: Supply Almasoft customer number and server name to Dental Media:
To connect to the server, we will need to configure the connection with your Almasoft customer
number and server name.
The Customer ID can be found in the bottom of the Almasoft client:
And the server name can be found in Alma Verktyg:
Send this information to Dental Media’s IT Deployment
Manager at support@dentalmedia.io or in a reply to his onboarding email.
