Required DNS Updates: Authorizing Our Mail Servers for Your Domain

Audience:

IT Administrators / DNS Managers

Purpose:

To officially authorize our booking platform to send emails on behalf of your clinic, ensuring they are not treated as "spoofed" or fraudulent messages.

1. Do you need to do anything?

Before proceeding, please check who manages your domain's Name Servers.

  • If Dentli hosts your website and DNS: No action is required. We have already configured these records as part of your standard deployment. These protocols are active by default.

  • If you manage your own DNS (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy, UnoEuro): Action is required. Because we do not have access to your domain settings, you must manually add the records listed below to allow our servers to "speak" for your domain.

2. The Three Required Records

If you manage your own DNS, please add the following records. These act as a digital ID card, proving that the email coming from our server actually belongs to your clinic.

(A) The Ownership Verification (TXT)

This simply proves that you own the domain you are trying to use.

  • Type: TXT

  • Name/Host: @ (or leave blank)

  • Value: brevo-code: [We will provide your unique alphanumeric code]

(B) The Digital Signature / DKIM (CNAME)

This allows us to cryptographically sign emails so receiving servers know they haven't been tampered with.

  • Type: CNAME

  • Name/Host: mail._domainkey

  • Value: k1._domainkey.brevo.com

(C) The Sender Authorization / SPF (TXT)

  • Type: TXT

  • Value: v=spf1 include:spf.brevo.com ~all

  • Note: If you already have an SPF record for Office 365 or Google, do not create a new one. Please refer to our separate guide: "Solving SPF Conflicts".

3. How to Verify

Once these records are added, please notify your project manager. We must click a "Verify" button in our delivery dashboard to finalize the connection. The records usually propagate within 1 hour, but can take up to 24 hours depending on your provider.
