How to Test Your Website Forms Without Triggering Security Blocks

Audience:

Clinic Managers / Staff doing internal testing

Purpose:

To prevent your IP address from being temporarily banned during staff training or website testing.

The Risk: Looking Like a Bot

Our security systems actively watch for "bot attacks"—automated programs that fill out forms instantly to send spam. If a human fills out 5 forms in 60 seconds during a test, the system cannot tell the difference between you and a malicious bot, and it will block you.

The Safe Testing Protocol

When testing your contact forms or booking flow, please follow these rules:

  1. The "One Minute" Rule: Wait at least 60 seconds between submissions.

  2. Use Different Data: Do not submit the exact same name and message 5 times in a row.

  3. Use Real Emails (or Aliases): Do not use fake emails like test@test.com. This damages your sender reputation.

    • Pro Tip: If you use Gmail/Google Workspace, you can add a + to your email.

    • Example: clinic+test1@gmail.com, clinic+test2@gmail.com. These all go to your inbox, but they appear unique to the system.
